1080p Transmitter Comparison

Introduction

Models in the 3G HD over IP System that are labeled as 2GΩ/3G are capable of 1080p resolution maximum, but have all other features of the 3G system. "Transmitter" describes the source-side encoding device and there are various models meant for different requirements at the source location. All models are compatible with each other so they can be used in the same installation. Use this article to help with choosing the model that best serves the video, audio, and hardware needs of each source location.

2GΩ/3G units can also be expansion or replacement units for legacy 2G systems.

If you are planning a 4K project, see the 4K Transmitter Comparison article instead.
