How to Control the HDMI Out for Omega Ultra Series Decoders

Overview

Some installations require a receiver to output a pitch-black screen or hold a frozen still-frame. The CLI commands below provide those functions and are intended to be sent to the Decoder (RX) via Telnet on port 23.

Requirements

CLI Commands

Name CLI Command Description
Disable Video video mute Outputs a black video signal and mutes audio on the HDMI output.
Freeze Video video pause Continuously outputs a frozen image using the last received video frame.
Restore Video video play Resumes normal video output. A reboot or power cycle will also restore video.

Examples

Output black video on a Receiver:

video mute

Freeze the current video frame on a Receiver:

video pause

Restore normal video output:

video play

Note: Rebooting or power-cycling the device will also restore normal video output.
