Legacy For existing JADConfig systems only.
Overview
JADConfig is Windows-only software used to configure a managed Ethernet switch and Just Add Power devices into an HDMI switching matrix. The HDMI matrix operates over network infrastructure but remains isolated from the main data network; audio and video traffic will not interfere with standard network traffic.
No additional feature development is planned for JADConfig.
Policy Update: JADConfig is supported only on systems where it is already deployed. It is not supported for new installations or new system builds.
All new systems must be configured using AMP (Advanced Matrix Programmer).

2G Series: A5.3.1
Changes
- Added support for Cisco CBS switches
- Improved interrogation stability in larger systems
- Corrected an issue where Encoder ports were incorrectly assigned to VLAN 2 after configuration
Known Issues
- When downsizing a system by removing Decoders, ports previously assigned as Decoder ports remain configured as Decoder ports. This may cause linked drivers to incorrectly identify the port type.
- The program assumes all 192.168.x.x networks are Class C (/24) and ignores the actual subnet mask.
- Newer Windows 10/11 PCs require .NET Framework 2.0 to be enabled through Windows Features before JADConfig can be installed. See .NET Framework 2.0 Required below.
Advisory: Windows on Mac Hardware
JADConfig should be run on native Windows hardware whenever possible to ensure reliable configuration.
Virtual machines and Parallels environments may not properly bridge network adapter settings between macOS and Windows. Even if adapter settings appear identical, reliable communication is not guaranteed.
Potential issues include:
- Failure to discover devices
- Failure to configure devices
- Failure during firmware updates (which may damage devices)
- Intermittent or inconsistent behavior
Due to ongoing macOS updates and virtualization changes, successful operation at one time does not guarantee consistent future operation.
.NET Framework 2.0 Required
On newer Windows 10/11 PCs, .NET Framework 2.0 is disabled by default and must be enabled before installing JADConfig.
If you encounter a .NET error during installation, follow the steps below:

- Select No and Navigate to your Windows Control Panel
- Find and Click on "View by: Category" and select "Large Icons"
- Find and Click on "Programs and Features"
- Find and Click on "Turn Windows Features on or off"
- A window will appear with a list of features you may turn on or off. Find and check the box for .Net Framework 3.5 (Includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) and click OK at the bottom.
- Windows will prompt you to make a selection before .Net Framework will be installed. Please select "Let Windows Update download the Files for you." This make take several minutes to complete.
- Once Windows finishes installing .Net Framework 3.5, please retry opening the Setup Wizard for JADConfig.
