Overview

Downloading a switch configuration file might be done for any of these reasons:

• Having a backup copy of the switch configuration in case of failure
• Copying the configuration from one switch to another

Walkthrough

1. Login to the switch webUI

   

2. Go to the System tab along the top.
3. On the left menu, select System Tools and Backup Config
4. The Target Unit dropdown shows All Unit (because there is only one switch). Click Export. The download will start immediately.

   

5. Done! You have downloaded a backup configuration file for the switch.
