Overview
Omega Series, Ultra Series, and MaxColor Series Decoders include a built-in video scaler. The scaler allows each Decoder to adjust its HDMI output resolution to match the requirements of its connected display.
This is useful when displays with different resolution capabilities are used in the same system. A source can remain at its preferred resolution while each Decoder provides an appropriate output resolution for its display.
Scaling Considerations:
- Omega Series: Supports video signals up to 1920×1080p60. It cannot process, transmit, or scale video above 1080p.
- Ultra Series: Supports video signals up to 4K30. It cannot process, transmit, or scale video above 4K30.
- Downscaling: Omega Series, Ultra Series, and MaxColor Series Decoders should not downscale the video they receive below half of its original horizontal or vertical resolution. Doing so may produce undesirable results on the display, including missing video or an image that appears excessively zoomed in.
Before You Begin
- Omega and Ultra Series Decoders must use firmware
B2.1.0or newer. - Confirm the supported resolution and refresh rate of the connected display.
- Confirm that you have network access to the Decoder.
- Expect a temporary interruption to the Decoder output when applying a scaler setting.

Configure Through the webUI
- Open the Decoder webUI.
- Locate Scaler Settings.
- Under Output Resolution, select the required scaler option.
- Select Apply.

Custom Resolutions
Additional output resolutions are available by selecting Custom / Experimental Options from the Output Resolution menu.
Custom Resolution Compatibility: Not every custom or experimental resolution is compatible with every source, display, or Decoder series. Verify the resulting video output after applying a custom resolution.
Configure Through the CLI
Scaler settings can also be configured through the Decoder CLI. Replace XXXXXXXX with the corresponding eight-digit code from the Scaler Resolution Codes table.

Restore Pass-Through
