Overview
Firmware L1.1.9.0 enables 2G Series devices and compatible Omega Series and Ultra Series devices to operate under the JPSW switching structure used by AMP 2G Legacy Mode.
This is the first L Series firmware release and requires AMP 2.0.0 or later. L Series firmware is intended only for AMP 2G Legacy Mode.

Configuration requirement: AMP 2G Legacy Mode is supported only in Standardized Configuration. It is not available in Alternate Configuration.
Configuration with AMP
To configure a system containing 2G Series devices, use the normal Build New workflow for Standardized Configuration in AMP 2.0.0 or later. AMP discovers the devices and applies L Series firmware to compatible Encoders and Decoders as part of system configuration.
On compatible Omega Series and Ultra Series devices, 2G Legacy Mode is an operating state applied by L Series firmware. It does not require enabling a separate setting or executing a mode-change command.

Automatic configuration when changing firmware: When a compatible Omega Series or Ultra Series device transitions from
Bx.y.zfirmware to L Series firmware, the settings required for 2G Legacy Mode are applied automatically. A separate sequence ofastparamcommands is no longer required. - Updated diagnostic background: Displays the Just Add Power logo on one line, without the plug icon.

Updated diagnostic date: Displays
26-Aug-21as the firmware date in the bottom-right corner of the diagnostic screen.
Custom background replacement: Applying L1.1.9.0 overwrites any custom diagnostic background image with the Just Add Power background.
Version Numbering
The version number L1.1.9.0 identifies the firmware family, video compatibility generation, and jpsw version.

Video Compatibility
All L1.x.y.z firmware versions are video-compatible with each other. Differences in the final three numbers identify changes to jpsw and do not change the video compatibility generation.
The first number is reserved for a change in video compatibility. There are currently no plans to change L1 to L2.
Limitations
L1.1.9.0 does not introduce changes to the following:
- EDIDs: This firmware release does not change EDIDs.
- webUI: The existing appearance and functionality remain, apart from the displayed firmware version number.

Diagnostic screen text: The existing text in the bottom-left and bottom-right corners remains, apart from the firmware date changing to
26-Aug-21.
Diagnostic date: 26-Aug-21 is the date displayed on the diagnostic screen. It is not the public release date of L1.1.9.0.
